The Iditarod race started. The musher in the lead is Nicholas Petit. He is in Anvik. Most of the mushers are in the town called Iditarod.
We read to the Kindergartners. We will read to them every other Thursday. We made a project with chalk to make the Aurora Borealis.

We got our mushers for the Iditarod. The Iditarod is a race that is in honor of The Serum Race of 1925 in Alaska. The official race starts Sunday in Anchorage.
In other news, we are excited for Gator Rock tonight. We did a candy experiment with chocolate chips, Starburst, Swedish Fish and Gummy Bears. We tested them in hot water to see if they would melt.
We had our Global Day of Play. It was fun. We split up into two groups. One group went to Mrs Slome's class and one group stayed in our room. We started the Boxcar Children . The book tells how the characters got their name. We have 8 more days until the 100th day of school. We are making biographies. We worked on division and did our math test yesterday.
Today we will have a house activity. Jump Rope for Heart will start today. We're reading nonfiction books. Today we read a biography of Martin Luther King Jr. Natalie, Mrs. Brady's daughter, came to visit our classroom.
This week we had spirit week. We'll have a sing-a-long this afternoon.. We made oobleck for science. We experimented with it to decide if it was a solid or a liquid. We also put a container of water by the heater to see what would happen to it. It evaporated after three days. We took a multiplication test this week. We had a craft day today and made different crafts for our family.
We practiced making arrays. They help us with multiplication. We met Gary the gator and Wrinkles the dog. They can read with you if you have great behavior. We're starting to read gingerbread books to help us get ready to write our own gingerbread stories.
The snow was fun to play in at recess. We made snow forts. We made winter haiku poems. We're still working on bar models in math. We've been reading the book Winter According to Humphrey.
We practiced our Thanksgiving play. We did a turkey persuasive writing project. We have a lot of birthdays at the end of this month!
We had pajama day on Wednesday. We got to bring a stuffed animal to read with. We voted for a Go Noodle champ on election day. Squatchy Berger was the winner. His platform .was to preserve nature.. We wrote letters to Veterans to thank them for their service..
